Movies At The Palace
‘Movies At The Palace’ was a concert focusing on music penned for the big screen. The concert was held on 21st April 2018 at the Courtyard of the San Anton Presidential Palace, under the patronage of H.E. Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca, President of Malta. The concert, included works by various well-known composers in the film industry such as Ennio Morricone, John Williams and Hans Zimmer. The concert was a huge success with all tickets being sold out. During the concert there was the use of intelligent lighting systems and projections to make the experience more engaging.
Movies in Concert
Following the concert ‘Movies At The Palace’, the organising team decided to continue to develop the idea of the thematic concerts focused on film music. ‘Movies in Concert’ was another successful concert held at the ‘Sala Repubblika’ at the Mediterranean Conference Centre on 23rd March 2019. Again this concert was sold-out with an audience of 1,400 persons. The music included in the playlist of this concert included works for films such as ‘Star Wars’, ‘The Avengers’, ‘The Mission’ and ‘Saving Private Ryan’. The concert included the participation of the Amadeus Chamber Choir and various popular singers.
